This is a blog I have to make for my grade 11 English class. I have to create 10 blog entries on the story Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King. Once this is done I have to watch the movie and write a review on it. Finally after watching the movie and reading the book I have to write a 5 page essay on one of the key statements of the book.

Pages 101-107 Response
In the final six pages of Shawshank Redemption many different things have happened. First of all we learn that after many years of trying Red has finally been paroled! It is 1976 by this time and Red is living in a hotel room and working at a local grocery store just trying to survive. Secondly we learn that Red has gone to Buxton, Maine in search of the location of Andy's key not to steal it but just to have proof that Andy in fact wasn't lying. After a while of searching Red finally finds the rock and when he looks under he finds a letter addressed to him so he opens it. When he opens it he immediately recognised Andy's penmanship and continued to read the letter. The letter said something along the lines of if you are reading this you are out of prison! Do you remember that town? I could use good man to help me with my project. Your friend Andy. After Red reads the letter he packs up his possessions and violates his parole to head over to Zihuatanejo, Mexico in search of Andy.
